My Wingmen...

       Wingmen or wingmates are usually the best friends that you can have in the college. Note that Im talking about only the final year students coz thats when you get to select your wingmates! As for other years, we have this room allotment provided by the "college authorities".....and believe me.....these allotments are totally fucked up! I dont know whether they actually use a computer algorithm to generate random numbers in the range of our roll numbers....coz thats how the students are grouped ....RANDOMLY!!!!!! I can understand that the universe always moves in a direction so as to increase its ENTROPY.....but trust me Mr. Universe.....even you wont be able to take the amount of
increase in entropy thats gonna be created if guys are grouped randomly in a hostel and dat too in a college like ours where students come from all over the country....and dat too in a country like India where the people belonging to north and south or east and west are as different from each other as inhabitants of the Milky way and those of the Andromeda galaxy! :P

         Anyways, I really got drifted away from the topic...i guess. Here's a brief description of my best friends....my wingmen...

Room 101:- Debashish : He's a 'civil'ian...so to speak. He remain kinda aloof most of the times....coz he's quite a  "family man" and likes to be busy with his "bou" ! However, he has a million dollar smile and he is always with us whenever we have our little wing celebrations! :)

Room 102:- Chiru : Anyone who sees him first will say..."he's a kid!". He's one of those good guys who can never offend you or mean you any harm....though he can kill you with a headshot using his AK-47! :P So, u'd rather take his side or end up dead when we have our little CS 1.6 tournaments in our wing! :)

Room 103:- Myself : As long as you are reading my blog, i dont think I need to provide any more descriptions of myself under this topic! ;)

Room 104:- Rahul : One of my bestest best friends....nothing could part us right from the kindergartens. In our school, we were in the same section....in our high school (after class 10)....we took admission in thesame school.... after that.... what were the odds that we got admission in the same college... and then....what were the odds that we were allotted the same room in first year.... and then again... we somehow wound up staying together in the same room in the 2nd year also... and then again... we chose to stay
together in the final year too...and yet again... we somehow wound up staying in adjacent rooms 103 and 104!! Im quite sure that our togetherness is still not over. :)

Room  105:- Rohit : I met him in my high school...and its a coincidence that we both started our session in class 11 with some serious diseases! I had chicken pox, while he had jaundice! So, both of us found ourselves in an unknown world of projectile motions and gravitation and planck's equations when we returned to our classes. Anyways, thats how our friendship started! Rohit was quite pissed with NIT Durgapur while he still hadnt taken admission here....and rightly so! :P Anyways, somehow, it was destiny
that he had to end up with us! Rohit is the Mr. Popular in his department. For some reason, his dept guys find his teaching better than their profs (or it may be that the guys who come to learn stuffs from him rarely attend classes :P ). Whatever be the reason, its a proven fact that Rohit is a fantastic teacher and has a very good knowledge in his subject! Also, another thing about Rohit is that even he is a family man and I've rarely seen someone so committed towards his relationship.

Room 106:- Shanti : His name is Shanti and he's not a villager! :P Although he comes from a village named "Kulti" and so do I...yet people often mistake him to be the villager types! He requires english subtitles in every english movie and so do I. He's a fan of Sonu Nigam and so am I. He loves Hindi songs and so do I. I think my readers have already guessed the reason why I and Shanti make the very best of friends...coz we are so alike! The thought has crossed my mind that we were probably brothers in our previous life! :) Anyways, I met Shanti (Sourav Shantikari) in my high school where he was obviously
introduced to me as "Balatkari"! :P I came to know his first name when we went to represent our school in "Regional Maths Olympiad" alongwith the legend...Rudradev Basak! I always thought that he would make a great doctor...however it unfortunate that fates led him to end up in the same college where I took admission! Shanti is also a "family man" married(figuratively) to "Moushumi Roy"...another good friend of mine. :)

Room 107:- Anirban : Not unlike most of my wingmates....he's also a "family man" and keeps aloof as he's always busy talking to his "bou". He's again one of those guys who means no harm to anyone. His sense of humour is awesome...and people around him just cant stop laughing while he's cracking his jokes! We met in the first year when he was a room-mate of Rohit. Our friendship grew leaps and bounds during the "Great Period of Card Games" (something Im yet to relate to my readers!).

Room 108:- Amit : He's the tech geek of our college! His hobbies are  coding, hacking, making websites and purchasing new smart phones every 6 months :P. If u need to know anything about tech stuffs...just knock on Amit's door...and you shall know it! I feel so sorry for Microsft that they couldnt understand his worth....and Im sure that Bill Gates is going to regret it! Since I've always had this knack about coding and techie stuffs (none like Amit though), there was no way that we could not have made good friends! :)

Room 109:- Rajdip : Here comes the civil geek! If I ever define the word "nerd", I'd mention Rajdip as the best example. He's a guy whom I've never seen to lose focus from his goal. His principles are the 3 D's..Discipline,Dedication and Devotion and he has never deviated from these principles. He's one of those disciplined guys that you rarely find in a hostel. He always completes his task in time and makes room for ample entertainment, which in his case are watching a few good movies repeatedly until he has mugged up all the dialogues and playing CS 1.6! As a friend, he's one of the best to have coz you'll
always find him beside you when you need someone to listen to your trageic stories and guide you in the right path! Apart from that, he's an excellent judge of characters. Although, unlike most of my wingmates, he isnt a "family guy"....yet he aspires to be one very very soon! :)

Room 110:- Ashish : He's the hunk of our wing. You'd better call him the Chandannagore-ian......coz he takes pride in the place he comes from..Chandannagore! Ashish,although he's single, keeps to himself most of the times, watching hindi movies and serials in his laptop! He goes to gym every day...a fact well proven by his appearence. We met in the first year as was alloted the room adjacent to mine. He also
takes pride in his department...the ECE department....and so do I! I wish I could write more about him apart from the fact that we go to our classes together....but he doesnt open up much...not to me atleast. All that I know is that he falls in the category of those who dont mean harm to anyone and likes to keep harmony although his biceps would tell you a different story! :P

Room 111:- Indraroop : We call him Indro. He's one of those guys who are always happy no matter what! You can always see him laughing! He's one of those guys to whom you are always welcome! Whenever, you feel bored, you can go to his room, talk to him and the boredom shall be gone. Another trait of his character is....he's very focussed at his target. He aims to do an MS from a foreign university. Indro,in his
mind, has already married Priyanka Chopra. You dare not talk ill about her before him or he will screw you! He's so obsessed with the lady that he goes to watch her movies alone lest his friends shall make fun of her when he's watching her! He has her posters all over his room and I wouldnt be surprised if someone finds one of those in his underwears too! :P (No offense meant to Priyanka Chopra!)

Room 112:- Bhabesh : He's my wingmate, my zonemate and my colleague (so to say...coz we are placed in the same company)! We met in the first year during our "rectification" period (RP) and since then, we have been very good friends. He's one of those fun loving guys who takes very little "chaap". We called him "Gaja Mondol" during RP when he (allegedly) used to bring "marijuana" to our respected seniors!
He's not a "family man" and is always available for his friends. :)

Room 113:- Arindam : He's by far the tallest guy in our wing. He aspires to be an IIM'ian and rightly so....given his intelligence and high IQ! He's a nightmare for the juni's! He should find a place in the Guiness book of World Records for screwing up the largest number of interviews...most of them intensionally! :P I met him too during the RP. A funny fact about him is that he had asthma during the RP...but as soon as the RP was over...so was his Asthma...and he started smoking! :P

Room 114:- Md. Ehtesham : Well, he's just an aquaintance. I dont know him much. In fact, we didnt select him for our wing...the college did! However, all I know is that he's a peaceful guy...keeps to himself.
